Oneka Ridge Golf Course opened in July 1995. Oneka RIdge Golf Course name is derived from the Dakota word "Onakan" which means " striking rice into the canoe". Rice Lake, located near the center of the township had been the resort of a band of Native Americans from Mendota. There they gathered rice during the summer, which was sold in St. Paul. Oneka Ridge Golf Course is a regulation 18 hole, par of 72.
