Since we opened as a dude ranch in 1929, Mountain Sky Guest Ranch has topped the list of the nation’s upscale guest ranch resorts. While there’s no doubt you’ll admire the breathtaking views, fine food, amenities and luxury environment, it’s our staff who make the difference.
When you arrive at the ranch, you become a member of the Mountain Sky family. We want you to experience not just superior service, but a warm and friendly staff truly dedicated to sharing this beautiful setting with you and your family. We are a group of people who care for each other and come together to share friendships and experiences with our guests from around the world.
If you return to Mountain Sky Guest Ranch through the years, you’ll always see many familiar guest and staff faces. We look forward to welcoming you to our Montana home.

From Bozeman, take I-90 East toward Livingston. Take Livingston exit 333 and make a left onto Highway 89, heading south toward Yellowstone National Park. Drive 24 miles to Emigrant, where you will see a Sinclair gas station on your left. Continue on Hwy 89 for 6.8 miles, looking for mile marker 25 and then a large brown indoor horse arena on your right, indicating you are close to making the right turn onto Big Creek Road, marked by a Mountain Sky Guest Ranch sign.
If you come upon a rest stop on the left, you’ve just missed Big Creek Road. Safely turn around and head back toward the Mountain Sky sign which will now be on your left.
Drive ¼ mile on Big Creek Road and take the first right, immediately after the end of the fence line on the right. You will see a grey house on the right, please drive slowly – this is a family home. Continue straight passing over two cattle guards until you reach a fork in the road and veer left. You will see the club house on your right.
If you see a barn on your right on Big Creek Road, or feel you are driving uphill, you have gone too far. Please turn around safely.
Please call 404-229-9870 if you have trouble finding the course or have any questions about your tee time.
