Douglas Golf Club was founded in 1909 and is an 18-hole parkland course which overlooks Cork city. It measures 6534 yards and plays to a par of 72.
The 15th is a lovely little short hole while you finish with a par-5, though at less than 460 yards it's definitely a chance to sign off with a birdie. Visitors are welcome any day except a Tuesday, though you need to book if you are visiting at the weekend. The club has excellent practice facilities while you can enjoy stunning views in the clubhouse over a meal or drink when you've finished your round. If you visit here during October, then there's a floodlit putting competition every Monday.
